Graphics 45 Awesomeness

I love the papers and embellishments that Graphics 45 puts out - have you seen them? They have a cool vintage feel with amazing graphics and fantastic colors. I usually like to work with a whole line of papers. I have to be honest, I don't usually buy a whole line of Graphics 45 papers but I found a line that I liked and had the perfect project in mind for it. In the past I made these really cute and functional yearly planners out of my usual paper bags - so it had the feel of a paper bag album but was much larger.

It was made to stretch over a full year. So it goes from January to December - I usually make them more geared towards KIDS but this time the line of paper from Graphics 45 that covered all the months was perfect and each sheet had some borders & special little graphics for the months...so look what I made

using my paper bags and a spiral binding and the delicious Graphics 45 papers I made the most amazing year in review scrapbook

Best part is I made it for us grown ups...The paper lends itself to a vintage feel of times gone by.

Each month is a double page spread...

Each page is decorated with wonderful monthly accents

this photo below is June

December - sweet vintage feel right???

Last page is a place to jot down place perhaps you went to or things that happened that you wanted to jot down the details...I totally love the look of this album - very proud of it really.

If you love it and need to have it - it will be listed in my shop later today

Summer vacation

CHECK

We just got back from a week long vacation in Palm Springs...it was hot, like 105' degrees HOT but lucky for us there were pools in every corner of the resort or should I say lucky for my kids.

We were busy pretty much everyday but still had lots of down time, mostly at night.

My hubby needed a great break from work and he came home rested - thank you Jesus.

We took a trek/hike at the Indian Canyons springs...it was so hot and humid but once inside the springs it was nice and cool but barely any water - just enough to keep us cool...

Now to get back into the groove of getting things done around here.

In fact my little dude is starting school in 3 weeks. So the rest of the summer will be just me and the girls (pictured above) should be fun, and QUIET!!!!

Hope your summer is running smoothly and that you are keeping cool.

Is it too early?

I know its July and I know there are still technically 6 months left until Santa pays us all a visit. But I am in "Ornament" mode...trying to come up with some cute ideas for my show in October. This one is real simple just using a wooden star - stamping some fun old script onto it then adding a little vintage wreath - the whole ornament fits in my palm. Sweet right>>>

Happy Birthday

I am back to making my albums - I find solace in doing something I am good at.
Strange or right on target. This new one is a birthday scrapbook made from paper bags...

I am expanding my range of albums from mostly using paper bags to using chipboard and making larger scrapbook pages.

I always try and use an entire line - papers, stickers & embellishments...

It makes things look more cohesive and unified

Its the pieces you pick and the placement of those embellishments & stickers that gives it a finishing touch and the part that always leads people to ask - "how do you put it all together."

Anyway - hopefully the birthday kid likes it...
I'll be listing the album in my shop later today...
